I think I speak for all of us who have ever tried to make a recipe, bake a cake or a few simple cookies, and we feel the pressure of the little ones and not so little ones in the house, demanding: I want the spatula, I keep the bowl… well, they are on the lookout for the leftovers of mixture or cream that may remain from our preparation.

In particular, I don’t let anyone to touch anything until it is completely finished because the leftovers can be missing at the last minute. But it has also happened to me, that I make the recipes so measured that there aren’t leftovers to satisfy everyone’s craving.

So when making desserts that have meringue, I mix a little more and make with the rest meringue cookies, since they are crunchy and soft at the same time, very easy to make, it takes just a little time to bake and I can make plenty of them. Also, if we make them in colors, they can serve as an extra element for decoration.
